IMDb has launched a free movie streaming service

The streaming service is called IMDb Freedive and it currently lists around 130 movies and 29 TV titles. The service’s films and TV shows are available to registered IMDb or Amazon users and Amazon Fire TV owners. IMDb plans to eventually bring the service to its own iOS and Android apps.

Google can limit the “right to be forgotten” to internet searches made in the EU

The “right to be forgotten” enables claimants to request the removal of links to irrelevant or outdated online information about them. Google has been in a legal battle with France’s data regulator over whether Europe’s privacy laws apply globally. An advisor to the EU’s top court said that Google doesn’t need to guarantee the “right to be forgotten” to users outside of the European Union.

Amazon may launch its own game streaming service

The company is building a service that will let you stream video games online. Amazon has already started talking to game publishers about offering titles, though the service won’t be ready to launch until next year.

VLC is adding AirPlay support and will reach 3 billion downloads

VLC will implement AirPlay, which will make it possible for Android users to send videos from their mobile devices to Apple TVs. VLC will also build out a more compete media library for its app to simplify the switch from iTunes.
