WordPress iOS app exposed account security credentials

Automattic, the company behind the WordPress.com blogging platform, said it fixed a bug in its official iOS application that might have exposed users’ account authentication tokens to third-party websites. The company said no usernames and passwords were exposed, but only “security tokens that the app uses to communicate/authenticate with WordPress.com”.

Microsoft and BMW will launch an IoT platform

Microsoft and BMW have announced the Open Manufacturing Platform (OMP) that is meant to speed up innovation in the manufacturing sector, with a focus on industrial IoT. OMP is based on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and it will be used as a reference architecture to help firms work together.

Nokia X71 has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ displat, a Snapdragon 660 processor and 6GB of RAM. It comes with a 3,500mAh battery and triple camera on the back with 48MP, 5MP and 8MP sensors.

Microsoft will stop selling ebooks and will refund customers for previous purchases

The company will remove the Books category from the Microsoft Store. According to Microsoft’s support page, users who have purchased books from the store have until July 2019 to read them. After that point, they will become unavailable.

Google is shutting down its Google+ social network

Google has officially started the process of shutting down and deleting all consumer accounts on its Google+ platform. Launched in 2011 and competing with Facebook and Twitter, it was the company’s fourth attempt at a social network.
