Microsoft contractors listen to Skype Translator calls and Cortana recordings

Microsoft allows human review of translated Skype calls and exchanges with AI assistant Cortana by third-party contractors. Microsoft representatives said that the company makes these recordings available through a secure online portal, and that it takes steps to remove any associated information that could be used to identify a user.

A WhatsApp vulnerability could allow hackers to manipulate messages

Cybersecurity researchers from Check Point identified flaws in WhatsApp that could allow hackers to manipulate messages in both public and private conversations. They said that Facebook has failed to address the flaws, a year after the company was alerted.

Instagram removed an ad partner that tracked millions of users’ locations
