Google will block users in Russia from purchasing or updating paid applications
The company halted billing for Russian users on 10 March 2022 due to sanctions imposed on the country. That decision impacted new app purchases, as well as in-app purchases and subscription payments. Now, the company announced it ended Play Store app sales in Russia.

Clearview AI agreed to limit sales of facial recognition data in the US
Clearview AI has confirmed it will permanently halt sales of its biometric database to private companies and individuals as part of a legal settlement in the US. The company also mentioned that it will not offer free trials of its software to individual police officers without a sign-off from their superiors.

US is offering a $10M bounty for Costa Rica ransomware information
The United States Government is willing to pay up to $10 million for information leading to the identification and/or location of leaders of the Conti ransomware gang. The bounty follows an attack on the government of Costa Rica in April that disrupted its customs and tax platforms, hurting foreign trade.
