Google wants to modernise email with AMP for Gmail
Google has launched a developer preview of AMP for Email, bringing its Accelerated Mobile Pages feature to Gmail. The aim is modernize email, allowing for the creation of messages with interactive, dynamic content. “With AMP for Email, you’ll be able to quickly take actions like submit an RSVP to an event, schedule an appointment, or fill out a questionnaire right from the email message“, said Google.

SpaceX will launch its first satellite Internet prototypes
SpaceX is about to launch the first two prototypes for its satellite constellation to provide internet broadband services. Internet satellites that currently exist fly more than 20,000 miles above Earth. SpaceX wants to place their satellites much closer to the planet at around 750 miles above the surface, which means that the connection speeds will be faster and the bandwidth will be higher.

Microsoft is working to create a blockchain-based, decentralized digital identity management platform. The company sait it will provide new a model of digital identity that would not be controlled by any centralized institution and would guarantee fully private data storage, enabling the individual to have full control of “all elements of [their] digital identity.”

MIT created an energy-efficient chips for Internet of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT), including embedded industrial sensors, smart lighting, and monitoring systems tend to have minimal power demands and can operate on Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN). Now, researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed processors capable of providing encryption to low-power devices.

Robots had their own skiing competition at the Winter Olympics
According to The Guardian, each bot had to meet a strict set of criteria to compete. Specifically, they had to be over 50cm tall, have independent power systems, be able to stand on two legs and have bendable knees and elbows.
