Google revealed that a sophisticated hacking operation targeted Android and Windows devices in 2020
Google published a report detailing a hacking operation in wich the attackers used a combination of Android, Chrome, and Windows vulnerabilities. Google said that the attacks were carried out via two exploit servers that used Google Chrome vulnerabilities, “one server targeted Windows users, the other targeted Android”. Once an initial entry point was established in the user’s browsers, attackers deployed an OS-level exploit to gain more control of the victim’s devices.

Authorities have taken down the dark web’s largest illegal marketplace
DarkMarket,one of the biggest dark web marketplaces for selling counterfeit money, drugs, credit card details, anonymous SIM cards, and malware, has been taken down in an international operation involving Germany, Australia, Denmark, Moldova, Ukraine, the U.K., and the U.S.A with coordinating help from Europol. According to Europol, DarkMarket had around 500,000 users of which more than 2,400 were sellers.

Google will add a Guest Mode on Google Assistant devices
When Guest Mode is switched on, users will be able to continue to ask questions, control smart home devices, set timers, and play music, but will not be able to access personal results, such as calendar entries or contacts. Google added the device will also automatically delete audio recordings and Google Assistant activity from the device owner’s account when in Guest Mode.
