Facebook is building a smartwatch with messaging and health features
Facebook could be secretly working on a smartwatch. An anonymous source said that the device would have the Android operating system and will be launched in 2022. The watch will likely prioritize features that let people use Facebook’s family of apps to send messages to each other, a well as integrations with health and fitness products from companies like Peloton.

Qualcomm is opposing Nvidia’s $40 billion proposed acquisition of Arm
Qualcomm has registered an objection with several regulators around the world, including the US FTC, the European Commission, the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, and China’s State Administration for Market Regulation. Qualcomm believes that the acquisition risks Nvidia acting as a gatekeeper for Arm’s technology, and could prevent other chipmakers from using it.

Mercedes recalled more than 1 million vehicles over emergency-call location error
Mercedes-Benz is recalling in the US almost 1.3 million vehicles to fix a problem with the communication module for the eCall emergency call system. Affected vehicles could indicate the wrong location to emergency services when used in case of an incident on the road.
