Amazon files a patent to block people from comparing prices in its stores
The patent is for a technology that will monitor and control what happens to customers while they’re browsing the internet from inside an Amazon retail store. When a customer starts searching the internet for items and is comparing the prices, the technology will take action by blocking the information from reaching their device, redirecting their search to other content, or simply sending a store representative to come and assist them.

Facebook is using artificial intelligence to fight terrorism
Facebook said in a blog post today that most accounts removed for terrorism-related activity are uncovered by the company itself, and that it’s using artificial intelligence to find more threats. “We are currently focusing our most cutting edge techniques to combat terrorist content about ISIS, Al Qaeda and their affiliates, and we expect to expand to other terrorist organizations in due course”, a company representatives said.

Fujitsu will provide Kyushu University with new supercomputer for AI
The Research Institute for Information Technology at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, has announced it will be receiving a new supercomputer system in October, which will be used to advance research in areas such as artificial intelligence. The server system of the new supercomputer system from Fujitsu will consist primarily of a back-end subsystem, a front-end subsystem, and a storage subsystem.

Microsoft Pix Camera iOS app update uses AI to create artsy photos
The new version of app introduced the feature called Pix Style. It transforms users photos in art work. There is also an interesting feature called as Pix Paintings. It lets users see a time-lapse of the photo being painted in the artistic style.
