Microsoft Teams has been storing authentication tokens in plaintext
Cybersecurity research firm Vectra has uncovered the vulnerability and it claims it affects the Teams app on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Vectra said that these credentials could theoretically be stolen by an attacker who has local or remote system access.
Uber found ‘no evidence’ that user data was stolen in hack
Security experts have photographs taken by the hacker that show their complete access to the cloud-based infrastructure that Uber uses to hold private consumer and financial data. The amount of data the hacker stole and their length of stay within Uber’s network are unknown.
Google Chrome will add a new security feature to autofill passwords
The feature is available on Edge and is offers a “Sign in with device password” setting. Using this setting, the device credentials will act as a master password for autofill on any website being browsed through Chrome.
Intel will rebrand Celeron and Pentium CPUs in 2023
The CPUs will be replaced by a simple “Intel Processor” branding instead. The company states that the reason for this is to simplify its lower end product stack.
