Bitcoin is worth over $2,000 per coin for the first time
Bitcoin’s price has followed a steady, upward trend over the last several months, pushing higher as the broader cryptocurrency space draws sustained inflows. The result of these increases is that bitcoin no longer constitutes the majority of the market cap for all cryptocurrencies. Today the total market cap of bitcoin represents just 47% of total cryptocurrencies, whilst up until a few months it was around 80%.

Twitter warns of Vine bug that may have exposed emails
In the email, Twitter says the bug impacted the Vine Archive for less than 24 hours. The social media service says once it was alerted, the bug was quickly fixed. “We want to emphasize that this information can’t directly be used to access your account, and we have no information indicating that it has been misused”, Twitter said in the email.

Facebook blocked a Pulitzer-winning reporter after he posted allegations of corruption
Matthew Caruana Galizia, a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists’ award-winning Panama Papers team, was temporarily locked out of his Facebook account over four posts, which were deleted for violating the social network’s community standards. The posts, which were written in Maltese, contained allegations of wrongdoing by prime minister Joseph Muscat, his chief of staff Keith Schembri, and minister of energy Konrad Mizzi.

A court in Israel, for instance, has ordered a couple to pay $2,200 for using emojis that “convey great optimism” in a text they sent to landlord Yaniv Dahan.
