PayPal files lawsuit against Pandora for mimicking its “iconic logo”
PayPal is suing the music streaming app for trademark infringement, claiming Pandora’s imitation of its “iconic” blue P logo is confusing users and threatening their experiences with the online payment platform. “Even the slightest delay in locating and using PayPal’s payments platform causes customers inconvenience, and degrades PayPal’s standing with customers and merchants”, is written in the lawsuit.

Instagram launched a new “archive” option for temporarily hiding posts
Users now have the option “archive” a post rather than delete it altogether. When a post is archived, it is simply hidden from public visibility, but remains on the service for the user to restore to visibility if they so choose. Instagram views the archive option as a way for users to create a “private space for personal viewing of old posts”.

Samsung will unveil a stretchable display soon
Samsung is expected to showcase the world’s first “stretchable” display panel at a U.S. tech fair this week, according to news reports from South Korea. The display would be able to bend up to 12 mm either way, and can be curved, bended or rolled. Samsung said that the technology is still in the early stages of research and development.

Quora tests video answers
Users in the beta group will be able to record videos on iOS or Android as supplements or complete answers that everyone on Quora can watch. “The beta will initially focus on a small number of topics where videos are an effective way to answer questions, including beauty, cooking, fitness, and parenting”, said Quora on a blog post.

An AI invented new paint colors that are hilariously wrong
Research scientist Janelle Shane decided to train a neural network to generate new paint colors. The result was that Shane was able to get the algorithm to recognize some basic colors like red and gray, “though not reliably,” because she also gets a violet called “Dondarf” and a dark green called “Stoomy Brown”.
