YouTube Stories launched in 2017 under the name Reels. It was supposed to compete with Instagram and Snapchat with videos that would disappear after seven days. Google’s focus is now on YouTube Shorts, a clone of TikTok.

Google opened access to its new generative AI capabilities in Search
The company is offering access to Search Labs, a new program that allows people to sign up for experiments, including the Search Generative Experience (SGE), and test them out before the wider release. Unlike a normal Google Search, which brings up a list of links, SGE uses AI to answer questions right on the Google Search webpage.
