Samsung Galaxy Note series is now history and will never return
Samsung reportedly is planning to end production of the Galaxy Note 20. Also, the company has completely removed the Note series from its product planning for 2022 and the main reason behind this is the foldables. Samsung already managed to sell about 2.3 million foldables around the globe in the first half of 2021. This is not counting the very successful Galaxy Z Flip3 5G which was only released in H2 2021.

Spotify is testing a new style of music listening that resembles TikTok
Spotify is testing a new feature called Discover that lets users scroll through a feed of vertical videos and skip or like them. This feature is described it as a “pared-down version” of a TikTok-style feed of music videos.

The European Commission plans to block political ads that target people’s ethnicity or religion
A new EU bill proposes preventing tech companies from directing ads to users based on categories such as race, religion or sexual orientation, without the users’s explicit consent. The Commission seeks to restrict such techniques that, in the context of political campaigns, it considers can negatively affect freedom of opinion and information, fundamental preconditions for exercising voting rights.

Vodafone will install mobile towers powered only by renewable energy
The Eco-Towers will enable the deployment of new mobile sites in the most remote locations, without the complexities and cost of connecting to the electricity grid. Vodafone collaborated with Crossflow Energy on the development of the wind turbine technology, combined with solar and battery technologies, to create a self-powered mobile network tower.
