A Google engineer developed an AI platform that identifies anonymous faces in WWII photos
The AI platform, called From Numbers to Names (N2N), can scan through photos from prewar Europe and the Holocaust, linking them to people living today. Currently, N2N’s software, which is free, only returns the 10 best potential matches that it can find in the database available to it.

Hacker stole $100 million from crypto firm Harmony
Harmony, a blockchain bridge that helps facilitate transfers between different cryptocurrency tokens, announced that $100 million in cryptocurrency was stolen from its Horizon bridge. The company said it’s working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and multiple cybersecurity firms to investigate the attack.

Apple said it will launch new products this fall
The company might soon launch four iPhone 14 models, a group of new iPads, three Apple Watch models, multiple M2 and M3-updated Macs, updated AirPods Pro earbuds, a new HomePod, and an enhanced Apple TV.

Apple’s mixed reality headset will reportedly come with an M2 chip
According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, Apple’s most recent version of the device, which is reportedly capable of delivering augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences, includes a base M2 chip and 16GB of RAM.
