OpenAI removed the waitlist for DALL-E 2 and is available to anyone
The artificial intelligence text-to-image generator DALL-E has 1.5 million users that are generating 2 million images a day. This number will start to grow exponentialy since OpenAI gave anyone immediate access. Users who sign up get 50 free credits to create images during the first month, and then 15 free credits every month after that.
Google Maps will add augmented reality search results
The new Search with Live View feature will enable users to search for places using Maps’ augmented reality. As the user is walking, it will bring up Street View and highlight various things they might be on the lookout for, such as ATMs or restaurants.
Cloudflare will replace CAPTCHAs with Turnstile
Instead of inspecting the user’s browser for a Google cookie, or asking visitors to pick an image showing a particular object, Turnstile will combine private access tokens (PATs) with a browser fingerprinting to validate that the user is a human.
Microsoft will remove SwiftKey for iOS from the Apple App Store
The keyboard app will still be available on iPhones unless users don’t decide to uninstall it. Microsoft acquired SwiftKey platform, which was one of the most popular keyboard apps on iOS and Android, for reportedly $250 million in 2016.
