Pixel 6 will be the first smartphone powered by new Google-made ‘Whitechapel’ processor
Pixel 6 will switch from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon brand to something built in-house with the help of Samsung’s System Large-scale Integration (SLSI) division. According to documentation viewed by 9to5Google, this fall’s Pixel phones will be powered by Google’s Whitechapel platform.

Nokia and Lenovo settle patent dispute over video-compression technology
While terms of the agreement remain confidential, Lenovo will make a net balancing payment to Nokia. Nokia launched its legal battle against Lenovo in 2019 over alleged infringement of 20 video-compression technology patents and had cases in the United States, Brazil and India, and six cases in Germany.

Signal is testing a payments feature that uses MobileCoin cryptocurrency
The new peer-to-peer payments system called Signal Payments supports for now only one protocol: the MobileCoin wallet and its cryptocurrency MOB. The feature is avilable in the beta version of the app.
