Google will acquire data science website Kaggle
Kaggle is a platform that hosts data science and machine learning competitions. Although the transaction has not been made public yet, Kaggle co-founder and CEO Anthony Goldbloom declined to deny that the acquisition is happening. With this deal, Google will have one of the largest and most active communities for data scientists.

CNN launches virtual reality journalism unit
CNNVR is a new journalism unit and VR platform within CNN Digital, which will cover major news events in 360-degree video. CNNVR will cover news events and offer VR live streams, and produce weekly VR experiences. “CNN is activating a new VR platform, making it easier to access this dynamic storytelling medium on every device,” said CNN.

NVIDIA Jetson TX2
Jetson TX2 is an AI platform for drones, robots, smart cameras and other embedded devices. It can be used for navigation, image and speech recognition. The TX2 uses a Pascal-based GPU, as well as two 64-bit Nvidia quad-core ARM chips, with 8GB of RAM on board and 32GB of fast flash storage.

Moto G5 Plus has a 5.2-inch Full HD screen and a Snapdragon 625 processor. The phone comes with Google Assistant, a 12MP rear camera and a a 3,000mAh battery.

Microsoft’s social network is being shut down starting March 15th, after nearly 5 years of uptime for the website. The end of the website isn’t a surprise, considering it didn’t enjoy major traffic or frequent updates (the last major update seems to have been in 2014).

The newest Mozilla update introduces a technology called WebAssembly
WebAssembly makes high-source apps like games, computer-aided design, and video and image editing run on Firefox. Through WebAssembly, these apps will also run on the computer almost as fast as they do on other platforms. It is because the tech is a low-level programming language that allows higher-level computer languages run in your browser.

Wheelys is opening up an unmanned store in Shanghai
Called Wheelys 247, the new store is connected to a mobile app that customers will use to scan and purchase items. To deter theft, the store will require the mobile app to enter, and is outfitted with video cameras to watch customers inside.
