Samsung confirmed that Galaxy source code was stolen
The company declared that no personal data was leaked (not for employees and not for customers) and that measures have been taken to prevent further breaches. The company did not identify the perpetrators, but it appears that it is LAPSUS$, the same hacking group that stole proprietary information from Nvidia last week.

Android 12L will be available on tablets and foldables ‘later this year’
Samsung, Lenovo, and Microsoft will be the first device manufacturers to integrate Android 12L, the new version of Android designed to be better optimized for tablets and foldable devices. The new OS will come with new notification shade that separates quick tiles and notifications into separate columns, a two-column layout for settings and the setup process, and a taskbar that lets users select apps to run side-by-side.

Google revealed that Chrome’s latest update is faster than Safari
Google explained that speed-focused “build optimization technique” and refined graphics processing make Chrome the “fastest possible browser”. The company also added that Chrome is nearly 43 percent faster than it was when the first M1 Macs were launched in late 2020.

Google is in talks to acquire cybersecurity company Mandiant
Google is interested in acquiring Mandiant to improve its cloud security in an effort to better compete against Microsoft Azure. The news of Google’s interest in Mandiant comes a month after Bloomberg indicated that Microsoft was examining the purchase of the company to bolster its products and help protect customers from hacks and breaches.
