Ericsson will develop an autonomous vehicle software cloud platform
Ericsson has announced the partnership with automotive software developer Zenuity to develop an end-to-end platform for connected safety, advanced driver assistance support (ADAS), and autonomous driving software and functions. Zenuity, a joint venture between Volvo and automotive safety system company Autoliv, will use Ericsson’s mobile connectivity management Internet of Things (IoT) solution, IoT Accelerator, with its own connected cloud solution for data management and security.

Equifax hack exposed personal data of 143 million Americans
Equifax, which supplies credit information and other information services, said that a data breach could have potentially affected 143 million consumers in the United States. Attackers reportedly exploited a vulnerability on Equifax’s website to steal names, Social Security numbers, birthdates, addresses, and, in some cases, driver’s license numbers. Credit card numbers for approximately 209,000 people and certain dispute documents with personal identifying information for approximately 182,000 people were also accessed.

Sony launched a true 4K projector for $5,000
The Sony VPL-VW285ES is capable of 4K HDR visuals on a screen size of up to 200-inches. For HDR, it supports the popular HDR10 standard and HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma), though the projector only has 1,500 lumens of brightness. The VPL-VW885ES will start shipping in November of this year.
