Nokia will acquire Comptel for $370 million
Nokia is seeking to buy Comptel to expand its software services business. “The planned acquisition is part of Nokia’s strategy to build a standalone software business at scale by expanding and strengthening its software portfolio and go-to-market capabilities with additional sales capacity and a strategic partner network,” Nokia said in a statement.

Facebook will use AI to combat discriminatory advertising
“We heard concerns that discriminatory advertising can wrongfully deprive people of opportunities and experiences, particularly in the areas of housing, employment and credit, where certain groups historically have faced discrimination,” a spokesperson wrote in a blog post announcing the changes. So Facebook is using machine learning to identify ads for housing, credit and jobs, and shut them down if they are targeted by “ethnic affinity”.

Google will soon delete apps from Play Store that don’t adhere to privacy policy
Google is warning developers towards impending action such as “limited visibility” or “app removal” if there is violation of User Data policy. The action will affect the fake apps that are created for the sole purpose of stealing user data. For the ones who will avoid the notice and make no changes to their app’s functionality, their app will be removed from Google Play Store.

Microsoft released a preview of Windows 10 Creators Update
In this update, Microsoft has added a new Compact Overlay mode, which allows users to continue watching a video while switching apps. Also, Dynamic Lock is a new feature that locks your Windows 10 PC when you’re not around. It does this based on the proximity of your Bluetooth-paired phone: If it’s not near your PC for 30 seconds, Windows turns off the screen and locks your computer.
