WinRAR has a critical bug which is being used to install malware
The vulnerability was discovered by security researchers from Check Point Software and it impacts all WinRAR versions released in the last 19 years. These attacks are apparently able to install malware on people’s computers quite easily, as most of the antiviruses are unfortunately unable to detect it.

Myspace lost 12 years’ worth of user content
Myspace has apologized for losing 12 years’ worth of music uploaded to its site, following a server migration error. The company announced that content uploaded to its site from 2003 up until 2015 may no longer be accessible.

Google is launching a game-streaming service called Stadia
Google said that Stadia cloud game streaming service is a platform that allows users to play games through their internet browser or YouTube without waiting for content to be downloaded to a device. It uses the power of Google’s cloud infrastructure to stream games to PCs, smartphones, tablets, and TVs. The service will be launched in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Canada later this year.

Google will ask European users which browser they want to use on Android
Google will invite Android users to choose their preferred web browser and search apps, as it tries to avoid new EU antitrust sanctions. The company was sanctioned by the European Commissions due to the abuse of its dominant position as a search engine, ultimately resulting in a massive €4.34 billion fine.

WhatsApp Business is available on iOS devices
WhatsApp Business is a separate version of the main app that’s meant for businesses who want to communicate with their clients directly. It is an important revenue stream for Facebook. Businesses can respond to customers for free within 24 hours of receiving a message but if they go beyond that limit, they have to pay.

Microsoft’s SwiftKey added Google as search engine option
At the end of last year, Microsoft added the ability to natively search the web from within SwiftKey’s keyboard. When the feature launched, users could only search using Bing. For those who do prefer Google over Bing, Microsoft has released a new update that adds the option to change the search engine.
