Facebook will end its support for Messenger on Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 at the end of March
Facebook recently started to send emails to Messenger on Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 users to let them know that official support is going to end by March 2017 and after that, users can’t use the application on their phones. The decision is not surprising considering Windows Phone market share has been down to 1 percent globally in the last year.

USA Congress voted to let internet providers sell user’s browsing history
Internet providers will be free to sell user’s personal information to the highest bidder without the need for consent. Most likely they will sell the data to advertisers when given the chance. There’s no policy justification and no public interest in passing this bill.

Elon Musk launches Neuralink, a venture to connect brains with computers
Neuralink, which is still in the earliest stages of development and has no public presence, is centered on creating devices that can be implanted in the human brain, with the purpose of helping human beings merge with software and keep pace with advancements in artificial intelligence. These enhancements could improve memory or allow for more direct interfacing with computing devices.

Google Play Store updated with new “Free App of the Week” section
The new section shows a new app each week which users are allowed to download for free. “Free App of the Week” can be accessed in the Play Store on the web or on mobile. Currently, it features a gaming app dubbed Card Wars – Adventure Time.

Airobotics received authorization to fly autonomous drones in Israel
Ran Krauss, CEO of Airobotics, said: “Our core technology is truly autonomous. That means drones are launched and landed automatically, without need for a pilot”. It is fitted with a robotic arm that is capable of swapping batteries, which removes the need for humans to recharge the vehicle.

Twitter eases 140-character limit in replies
Twitter says that when you reply to someone or to a group usernames will no longer count toward those 140 characters. This will be especially helpful with group conversations, where replying to two, three or more users at a time could be especially difficult with the character constraints.
