Bixby
Samsung is opening its AI assistant to developers, giving them the power to build their own Bixby-based apps. There will be a Bixby Developer Studio tool for writing Bixby-friendly code. Samsung will invest $22B in addition to creating seven AI development centers around the world and hiring an additional 1000 AI experts.

Microsoft officially ended support for Skype Classic and launched Skype v8. The new version of Skype will continue rolling out gradually over the coming weeks and months, though it’s still not known when it will be enforced for all users.

watchOS 51.1
Apple has released an updated version of watchOS, watchOS 5.1.1, that fixes the bug that caused some Apple Watch devices to be rendered non-functional. watchOS 5.1 introduced several new features to the watchOS operating system. It brought support for Group FaceTime in an audio-only capacity and it introduced support for more than 70 new emoji.
