Job Description

The Data Developer will perform functional analysis for small to moderate projects. You will develop data conversion routines for multiple projects.

About the position

You will be working within an agile environment whilst teaming up with Data Warehouse developers, QA Engineers and system integrators to work on projects prioritized by various areas of the business.

The job also consists of:
– Ensuring issues and risks are being identified in a timely manner and effectively communicated along with mitigation strategies and proposed resolution to the Data Delivery Manager.
– Understanding and contributing to the agile delivery process by working as an effective member of a data scrum team.
– Taking ownership for your team’s software quality from concept to production.
– Maintaining and writing functional and technical specifications.


Desired skills

Required skills:
Strong analytical skills;
Ability to work in a team oriented and fast paced environment;
Knowledge of unit testing;
Good English language skills;
Ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines whilst maintaining a proactive work ethic.

Nice to have but not mandatory:
Experience in Real-time Data Integration using tools such as Spark or Kafka;
Experience of large data warehouse (10 TB+) with multiple sources and outputs.

Personal:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Proactive attitude and consistent high energy levels.


Experience

Experience in writing SQL and with ETL/ELT/BI Tools;
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle;
Proven experience with high-volume data loads (terra bytes and above);
Educated to degree level in a science or technology related field.
