Job Description

In your role as the Head of Infrastructure you will work with departments outside of Engineering such as product, finance, marketing and legal to ensure organizational alignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud based infrastructure, and the various offerings from cloud providers including AWS, Google, and Azure.

Our client develops develops motion analysis algorithms and cloud computing for advanced analytics. The company has the headquarters in London, with offices in Barcelona, Cluj-Napoca and Sydney. They are seeking talented and reliable developers to accelerate their growth.


The job also consists of:

-Supporting all Infrastructure including Networks and Cloud Services (AWS).
-Taking senior leadership responsibilities over the entire Infrastructure function and availability including strategy, lifecycle management, budgetary management and Disaster Recovery.
-Setting the technical direction and drive the development requirements for cloud platforms.


Desired skills

Required skills:
Strong knowledge of Cloud Services, specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS);
Ability to translate requirements into needed storage and virtual machine environments;
Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms with deep expertise in at least one;
Knowledge of configuration and automation tools, such as Chef, Ansible, Salt, Vagrant, Packer;
Strong leadership experience;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


Experience

At least 8 years of experience;
Experience with building, monitoring, and alerting on logs and metrics;
Experience building and leading development and engine;
Previous experience of budgetary management within a large enterprise business;
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field.
