Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE) can now create AI images using information inputted directly in the search bar. Users can type in a description of what they’re looking for and, within moments, the engine will create four alternatives to pick from and refine further.

Google announced new privacy options for its products
Users will have easier access to “Clear Browsing Data ” on Chrome for Android devices. Google also introduced a dark web report for Gmail to allow users to check whether their email addresses are exposed on the dark web. Besides these, iOS users can use Google Password Manager as the default autofill provider to help quickly save, create, and keep them secure.

Microsoft launched a new bug bounty program to find vulnerabilities in Bing AI services
The rewards for finding vulnerabilities range from between $2,000 to $15,000. In the past 12 months Miscrososft said it paid $13.8 million in rewards to 345 security researchers worldwide who reported 1,180 vulnerabilities across 17 different bug bounty programs.

Apple has released iOS and iPadOS updates to patch a kernel zero-day vulnerability
The flaw, tracked as CVE-2023-42824, has been described as a local privilege escalation issue, which suggests it has been used as part of an exploit chain. Apple has now fixed the issue in iOS 16.7.1 and iPadOS 16.7.1, but it has yet to reveal who discovered and reported the flaw.
