Google has given a small group of companies access to an early version of Gemini. Giving outside access to the software, means Google is getting close to incorporating it in its consumer services and selling it to businesses through the company’s cloud unit. The AI model is intended to compete with OpenAI’s GPT-4.

TikTok was fined €345 million over handling of children’s data in Europe
The Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC) has announced the fine for TikTok due to failures under GDPR when processing the personal data of child users of the platform. The fine follows an investigation by the DPC announced in 2021.
