The model GR00T has been designed to understand natural language text, speech, video and live demonstrations to emulate human movements. This will allow it to quickly learn coordination, dexterity and other skills in order to navigate, adapt and interact with the real world.

Apple is in talks with Google to build the company’s AI engine Gemini to the iPhone
According to a Bloomberg article, the two companies are “in active negotiations” for Gemini to power certain new features due to be released to the iPhone software later this year. Apparently, Apple held previous conversations with OpenAI, though nothing is final at this point.

YouTube is requiring “realistic” AI-generated videos to be labeled
The company will ask users who upload new videos to answer “Yes” or “No” if their videos contain AI-generated content. If they say “Yes”, YouTube will add a label in the description noting that it contains “altered or synthetic content” and that the “sound or visuals were significantly edited or digitally generated”.

Nvidia launched the Edify multimodal generative AI model which can generate 3D content
Shutterstock will roll out early access to a tool thay demonstrates how Edify 3D can enhance customized 3D printing with various AI-generated designs. Getty Images is also adding Edify-based APIs that provide more control over generative AI image output.
