Meta will launch end-to-end encryption for Messenger this year
The company said that it will make E2EE the default setting for “one-to-one friends and family chats” on Messenger by the end of 2023. Meta is also testing an option to save the chats on a third-party cloud storage service like Apple’s iCloud.
