Meta launched Code Llama, a code-generating AI model

Code Llama is built on the Llama 2 model and has been further trained on over 500 billion code and code-related data tokens. The AI model supports programming languages like Python, Javascript, Java, C++ and can help with tasks like code completion and debugging.

Google will add 2FA verification to Gmail settings

Users will be asked to verify their identity when they try to add a forwarding address or edit filters. This helps prevent situations where attackers who gained access to the account can change the settings without the knowledge of the owner.

Meta will shut down Messenger Lite for Android in September

Messenger Lite was announced in October of 2016 and was aimed at less-powerful Android devices. The app has now been removed from the Google Play Store and will no longer be available for current users after September 18.
