EU fined Intel €376.36 million for breaching antitrust rules in computer chip market
The European Commission has imposed the fine on Intel for blocking the sales of devices powered by its competitors’ x86 CPUs between 2002 and 2007. The fine comes after a long-running antitrust court battle dating back to 2009 when the Commission initially fined Intel €1.06 billion for abuse of dominance.

Android 14 will add the ability to use the phone as a webcam
The latest Android 14 beta version has added a new option in the USB Preferences menu that can switch the phone into a webcam mode. The new webcam feature is currently supported on all of the Pixel devices capable of running the beta update except the Pixel Fold.

Recently patched Apple and Chrome zero-days vulnerabilities were used in spyware attacks
A few weeks ago, Apple reported the active exploitation of a critical vulnerability in iOS that allowed the installation of spyware known as Pegasus. Similarly, Google reported a critical vulnerability in its Chrome browser that was present in the WebP image format. It is highly likely that both vulnerabilities stem from the same bug in the libwebp code library.

X will disable Circles on October 31
Circles was a feature that made posts viewable only to a group of friends. Twitter first launched the Circle feature in August 2022. The company let people add 150 people to their Circle.
