vulnerabilities in Exim
Six 0-day vulnerabilities were discovered in Exim mail transfer agent exposing 250k email servers to threats

The most severe of the vulnerabilities is CVE-2023-42115, which allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Exim. Four of the six bugs allow for remote code execution and have severity ratings of 7.5 to 9.8 out of a possible 10.


Apple will upgrade the App Store’s search engine, and it might create its own search engine

The company has been working on a powerful search technology codenamed Pegasus. It will use this tech in some of its apps but very soon it will also be arriving on the App Store.


Client-side encryption in Gmail is now available on Android and iOS

To secure an email using client-side encryption, Gmail users need to activate the lock icon next to the “To” field in the client and turn on the “Additional encryption” option displayed in the menu.


Users will no longer be able to activate Windows 10 or Windows 11 with old Windows 7 and Windows 8 product keys

Microsoft published a message on the Device Partner Center, notifying customers that the installation path to obtain free upgrades from Windows 7 and 8 to more recent Windows versions is no longer available. Those with Windows 10 can still upgrade to 11 for free, Microsoft said in its announcement.
