FBI dismantled the infrastructure of Qakbot malware after it infected over 700,000 computers
The multinational operation which took place in the U.S., France, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Latvia, and the United Kingdom, represents one of the largest disruptions of a botnet infrastructure used by cybercriminals to commit ransomware and financial fraud. The FBI said it had redirected Qakbot internet traffic to their servers that effectively uininstalled the corresponding malware from victim computers.
