Microsoft will shut down its digital assistant app Cortana this month

This news marks the final chapter in Microsoft’s discontinuation of Cortana, which has seen the bot removed from Xbox, iOS and Android. Cortana is seen as a stepping stone toward a future where users will rely on a smarter chatbot running GPT-4, powered thanks to Microsoft’s partnership with OpenAI.

Edge browser might save screenshots of visited webpages

The feature is in testing and is turned off by default. Microsoft provided the following description: “We’ll take screenshots of the sites you visit and save it so that you can quickly revisit the site you want from history”.

TikTok is making changes for users in the European Union in order to meet the August 28th deadline the region’s authorities gave companies to comply with the Digital Services Act (DSA). The company said that soon users in the region will be able to switch off personalization.
