Google has revised its privacy policy so it can use public data to train its AI models

The policy update infers that Google is now making it clear to the public and its users that anything that is publicly uploaded online could be used in its training processes with the current and future AI systems it develops.


WhatsApp added a new feature with QR code for chat history transfer

The new chat history restore feature is now launchig out to Whats App Beta users and is only available for same OS transfers for now meaning Android to Android and iOS to iOS. The company said chat history data is only shared between the two devices and is fully encrypted during the transfer process.


Instagram Threads won’t be available in the EU at launch

The EU’s privacy regulator hasn’t actively blocked the app, but Meta “has not yet prepared the service for a European launch” that can respect EU data privacy rules. The app may collect data on its users’ health and fitness, financial info, contact info, user content, browsing history, purchases, location, contacts and search history.


Microsoft Edge is installing the Google Docs Offline extension automatically

The company wrote on the official Edge release notes page: “The Google Docs Offline extension will be pre-installed and will be disabled by default for Microsoft Edge users”.


OpenAI formed team to manage the risks of superintelligent artificial intelligence

The company has announced the formation of Superalignment, a team led by OpenAI co-founder and chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, that will develop strategies and control methods to guide superintelligent AI systems. OpenAI said that superintelligence will be the “most impactful technology” ever created by man and that it will help to solve many of the world’s problems.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 will have an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It will come with an 8,400mAh battery.
