Apple explained that it couldn’t provide any information about what prompted the message out of concern that additional details would help attackers avoid future detection. The company uses internal information and investigations to detect such attacks.

A six-year old vulnerability will likely never be removed from Lenovo and Intel products
The vulnerability in question impacts Lighttpd, an open-source web server frequently used in enterprise software, data centers, and by cloud providers. Lenovo and Intel said that the impacted models had reached end-of-life and no longer receive security updates, meaning that they will likely remain vulnerable until decommissioned.

Intel unveiled a new artificial intelligence chip, called Gaudi 3
Intel says the new Gaudi 3 chip is over twice as power-efficient as and can run AI models one-and-a-half times faster than Nvidia’s H100 GPU. The company claims that Gaudi 3 can help train or deploy AI models.

VPN by Google One service will be shut down sometime “later this year”
According to Google, not enough people are using the VPN feature to justify the resources it needs to exist, so the company decided to discontinue the service and allow its teams to refocus and “support more in-demand features with Google One”.
