Google launched Imagen 2, a text-to-image AI technology similar to Dall-E

Imagen 2 was developed using the company’s DeepMind AI technology and is now available for customers using Vertex AI, which is a part of Google Cloud. Big companies like Snap, Shutterstock, and Canva are already leveraging this technology for various applications.

OpenAI will pay the German media group Axel Springer to use its news articles to train the AI models

ChatGPT will be able to summarize articles from Business Insider and Politico in responses generated by the chatbot. None of the companies disclosed how much the deal was worth, but Bloomberg reported that OpenAI will pay the publisher tens of millions of euros over the next three years.

Google unveiled Duet AI for Developers

Duet AI for Developers includes coding assistance and integrates directly into the IDE. It can be used within many popular IDEs, including Cloud Shell Editor, Cloud Workstations, IntelliJ, PyCharm, and Visual Studio Code. In the coming weeks, all of Duet AI services will be incorporating Gemini, Google’s recently announced biggest and most capable AI model.

Microsoft PowerPoint for the web now has suport videos with subtitles

The company launched the ability to add subtitles to PowerPoint videos wich makes presentations more accessible and engaging for a wider audience. The captions and subtitles must be created in the WebVTT format before they are put into the PowerPoint video.
