UK to regulate AI
UK is developing a new legislation to regulate Artificial Intelligence

UK’s Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) drafted regulations that will target the most powerful language models, such as those that power OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Guvernment officials have also been suggesting that UK copyright legislation be amended to protect content creators from AI models scraping their content.


Gmail may add a ‘Manage subscriptions’ option in the near future

Gmail’s upcoming feature will offer users more control over emails from senders thanks to customizable filters. The option is still in development.


Tesla is reportedly laying off over 10 percent of its employees

A few weeks after reporting its first year-over-year decline in vehicle deliveries since 2020, Tesla is now planning to lay off over ten percent of its global workforce. As of December 2023, the company stated it had 140,473 employees. That means this new layoff event will likely affect over 14,000 people.


Google Pixel 9 may have a satellite SOS feature

Users will have to point the phone at the satellite with a UI to help they aim. The goal is to keep the satellite icon inside the circle to ensure a good connection. The feature is called “Emergency SOS”.

Galaxy C55 will have a 6.67-inch OLED screen, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and 8GB of RAM. It will come with a 5,000mAh battery.


Vivo Y200i

The phone will have a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It will come with a 6000mAh battery.
