Google added a "web" filter
Google added a “web” filter to only show text-based links in Google Search results

The Web filter joins existing filters such as Videos, Images and Shopping that are already found at the top of search results. Clicking it removes images, videos, or other forms of search results, only classic links are displayed.

EU launched an official investigation into Meta over social media addiction in children

The European Commission said that there are concearnes about age verifications on Meta’s platforms, as well as privacy risks linked to the company’s recommendation algorithms. The commission said its decision to initiate an investigation comes of the back of a preliminary analysis of risk assessment report provided by Meta in September 2023.

Reddit signed a partnership with OpenAI to bring its data to ChatGPT

As part of the partnership, OpenAI will gain access to Reddit’s Data API, granting the AI company real-time, structured, and exclusive access to the vast array of content generated on Reddit.

ChatGPT Plus, Team, and Enterprise users can directly access, and analyze, data files stored in Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft OneDrive (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
