Google will shut down the Business Messages feature in Google Maps
For businesses that enabled this feature, a “Chat” button appeared in listings on Google Search and Maps. This allowed users to have a conversation via text with stores, restaurants, etc. Google said that on July 31, 2024, the chat feature will be removed in Google Business Profile.
