Google’s Threat Analysis Group discovered zero-day vulnerabilities in Chrome and Apple’s operating systems
Apple issued update following the discovery, to eliminate two severe flaws within iOS, macOS, and iPadOS. The first, CVE-2023-42916, presented a hazard wherein attackers could harness an out-of-bounds read to extract sensitive information. The second, CVE-2023-42917, enabled hackers to corrupt memory, potentially orchestrating unauthorized code execution.

SeamlessM4T can translate and transcribe speech in real time across nearly 100 languages. The model is based on a new approach to machine translation that uses a combination of supervised and unsupervised learning.

Microsoft has announced that AI Copilot is available to all users
Microsoft Copilot, formerly known as Bing Chat, is now available in 105 languages and 169 countries, “on all modern browsers for mobile and web”. The company said it will continue to “launch new features in preview while we iterate, listen to feedback, and improve the experience for our users”.

Mastercard launched Shopping Muse, an AI that can help shoppers to find the items they want
Shopping Muse recommendations are based on a consumer’s “profile, intent, and affinity,” using its personalization capabilities to make recommendations using the retailer’s keywords, visual cues, and “the consumer’s own affinity,” said Mastercard.
