Google DeepMind unveiled ‘Genie’, an AI Model that can generate 2D platformer games

Genie can take a short description, a hand-drawn sketch, or a photo and turn it into a playable video game in the style of classic 2D platformers like Super Mario Bros. The model was trained on over 200,000 hours of publicly available 2D platformers.


Google will change its search results to eliminate SEO spam

The company says the changes will send more traffic to “helpful and high-quality sites”. When combined with the updates from two years ago, Google estimates the revision will reduce spammy, unoriginal search results by 40 percent.


Microsoft will remove support for Android apps on Windows 11

Microsoft has announced they are ending support for the Windows Subsystem for Android next year on March 5th. The Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) allows users to run native Android apps in a virtualized environment.


OpenAI claims Elon Musk demanded “absolute control” of the company or a merger with Tesla

Elon Musk was one of the initial board members of OpenAI and helped the company secure funding. He left the company’s board of directors in 2018. Musk is now suing OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman, alleging they abandoned the company’s mission to develop artificial intelligence “for the benefit of humanity broadly”.
