Samsung announced that ‘Live Translate’ will be available on more third-party Android apps
The Samsung ‘Live Translate’ feature allows a user to help translate phone calls in real-time directly on the phone. Right now, the feature is only compatible with the Samsung’s Phone app on Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The company hasn’t explicitly announced the names of third-party apps that will be compatible with Live Translate.

Google Messages will add support for emergency texting with RCS
Google is working with a company called RapidSOS for this feature. Similar to personal RCS conversations, an RCS text with 911 would allow for sharing precise locations along with sending photos and videos of an active situation.

FTC launched an antitrust investigation into Microsoft’s deal with Inflection AI
Microsoft announced in March that it had hired Inflection’s co-founders and a number of its staff to lead its Copilot program, and Inflection said its AI model would be hosted on Microsoft’s cloud platform. The goal of this investigation is to find out if Microsoft created a deal that would give it control over Inflection AI.

Apple is reportedly building a dedicated Passwords app for the iPhone and Mac
