OpenAI used over a million hours of YouTube videos to train the model GPT-4

According to the The New York Times, OpenAI used its Whisper speech recognition tool to transcribe the YouTube videos, generating new conversational text. This approach raised concerns about compliance with YouTube’s policies, as the platform, owned by Google, restricts the use of its videos for independent applications.

Meta will apply “Made with AI” labels to videos, images, and audio clips generated by AI

labels will be applied either when users disclose the use of AI tools or when Meta detects “industry standard AI image indicators”. The company didn’t provide more detail about its detection system.

In March, Apple was fined more than €1.8 billion by EU regulators for “abusive” App Store rules that may have increased prices for streaming subscriptions.
