Apple unveiled a new AI model that can edit images based on natural language instructions
Apple researchers have released “MGIE”, which stands for MLLM-Guided Image Editing. It is capable of executing various editing tasks including cropping, resizing, flipping, and applying filters solely through text prompts. Apple collaborated with University of California researchers to create MGIE.

Microsoft launched the PC Manager app to improve performance in Windows 10 and 11
The app can optimize performance and RAM usage, clean junk files, troubleshoot parts of the OS and block pop-up for Windows apps. The Microsoft PC Manager app was initially made for the Chinese market and for now is only available in English and Chinese languages.

Disney has invested $1.5 billion in Epic Games to build an ‘entertainment universe’ with Fortnite
Players will be able to “play, watch, shop and engage with content, characters and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more” in the new entertainment universe, which will be powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine. This represents Disney’s largest investment to date in the gaming industry.

Apple is building two foldable phone prototypes
The prototypes are flip-style devices, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and the Oppo Find N3 Flip. These phones aren’t part of Apple’s mass production plans for this year or 2025, so at the earliest it may launch in the fall of 2026.
