Microsoft announced a new tool to detect and correct hallucinated in AI outputs
The company claims that developers can now detect and fix hallucinated content in AI outputs in real time, ensuring end-users consistently receive factually accurate AI-generated content. A Microsoft spokesperson said the “correction” system uses “small language models and large language models to align outputs with grounding documents”.

Microsoft will add invisible watermarks to DALL-E images in Azure OpenAI
Named “Watermarks”, this feature involves the use of cryptographically signed metadata to offer improved transparency and security in AI-generated content. Microsoft already uses watermarking on its Bing Image Creator AI product.

Apple and Meta refused to join EU’s AI Pact
The European Union’s AI Pact is a voluntary agreement aimed at guiding companies on compliance with upcoming legislation on artificial intelligence. The list of companies taking part in the pact includes Adobe, Google, IBM, HP, Qualcomm, Microsoft, and Open AI. According to Politico, Apple and Meta have so far refused to sign it.
