Meta and Google teamed up to run a secret campaign that deliberately targeted 13 to 17-year-olds with Instagram ads on YouTube. Financial Times reports that Google directed ads to a subset of users labeled as “unknown” in its advertising systems, in an attempt to disguise the group because they were teenagers.

NVIDIA’s AI team reportedly scraped YouTube and Netflix videos without permission to train an AI model
An exclusive investigation by 404 Media reveals that NVIDIA has collected vast amounts of data from platforms like Netflix and YouTube to train its new AI model, named “Cosmos”. To evade detection from YouTube, NVIDIA reportedly downloaded content using virtual machines (VMs) with rotating IP addresses to avoid bans.

Windows and Mac systems can be hacked via software updates distributed through insecure Internet connections
Researchers from security firm Volexity discovered that the attack worked by hacking routers of an unnamed ISP. The attackers then used their control of the devices to poison domain name system responses for legitimate hostnames providing updates for at least six different apps for Windows or macOS.
