OpenAI updated ChatGPT to reference all of the past chats
The company announced that ChatGPT’s memory is getting a big upgrade, as it can now reference all of a user’s past chats to provide more personalized responses. The new memory feature will not yet be available in U.K., EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. OpenAI said these regions require additional external reviews to comply with local regulations.

Microsoft will launch Recall, the feature that captures screenshots on Copilot Plus PCs
Recall captures screenshots of user activity to help them revisit and retrieve past tasks. The feature was originally supposed to launch alongside Copilot Plus PCs in June last year, but the rollout was delayed over security concerns raised by experts.

A Microsoft study discovered that AI models still struggle to debug software
Microsoft Research, the company’s R&D division, found that AI models, including Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonnet and OpenAI’s o3-mini, fail to debug many issues in a software development benchmark called SWE-bench Lite.

Shutterstock licensed its video library to an AI corporate video company
The UK-based AI company, Synthesia, will have access Shutterstock’s content library for training its latest AI model, EXPRESS-2. Synthesia creates avatars for corporate videos about topics such as cybersecurity and good communication at work.
