Google pays Samsung an ‘enormous’ amount of money to pre-install Gemini AI on Galaxy devices
A court testimony in the US Department of Justice antitrust trial revealed Google provides Samsung with both fixed monthly payments and a percentage of revenue earned from advertisers within the Gemini app. The exact figures are unknown, but a DOJ lawyer called it an “enormous sum of money in a fixed monthly payment”.

OpenAI told a judge it would buy Chrome from Google
If Google is forced to sell off Chrome, ChatGPT’s head of product told a judge that OpenAI would be interested in buying the browser.Also, another OpenAI exececutive testified that the company had contacted Google last year about a potential partnership that would allow ChatGPT to use Google’s search technology.

The Washington Post will now let ChatGPT summarize its articles
ChatGPT will display summaries, quotes and links to articles from The Washington Post when users prompt the chatbot to search the web. The two organizations did not disclose the financial terms of the agreement.

Copilot can now create PowerPoint slides from a document and a prompt
The tool is particularly useful for selecting specific information from lengthy documents. By directing Copilot to a particular section or topic, users can generate slides that stay relevant. This feature is currently limited to users with a Copilot license running PowerPoint Version 2502 (Build 18526.20144), and it’s only available in English (US) for now.
