3 million iOS and macOS apps have been exposed to cyberattacks for 10 years

EVA Information Security revealed that vulnerabilities have existed for the past 10 years in CocoaPods, a library management tool used in the development of iOS and macOS applications. The security researchers claim that the exploit could have led attackers to access sensitive app data such as credit card details, medical records, and private information.

Apple launched a public demo of the ‘4M’ AI model

4M is an AI multimedia model capable of processing and creating content. Users can interact with it to create images from text descriptions, make complex identification of objects and process 3D scenes using natural language.

Users can now request the removal of AI-generated content mimicking them on YouTube

The company announced that it is giving people the ability to request the removal of AI-generated content that imitates their appearance or voice. YouTube will take in a variety of factors when evaluating an individual’s complaint, including whether the content is synthetic and whether or not the uploader disclosed the use of AI.

IBM partners with Microsoft to enhance cybersecurity for clients

This partnership will see the integration of IBM’s Threat Detection and Response (TDR) Cloud Native service with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Defender for Cloud. Additionally, to simplify cloud identity management challenges, IBM and Microsoft will create a solution with Microsoft Entra suite of tools.
